Best Implemented Landscape Architecture Project
About the project
The intervention involved the construction of the new cycle-pedestrian walk inside the Porto Vado core with interventions relating to lighting and street furniture.
The pedestrian path runs alongside and communicates with the cycle path for the entire development of the intervention located in correspondence with the thin strip of land between the Via Aurelia and the beach. The design was aimed at introducing minimal elements (land fill, grassy inclined planes and paved paving) and the need to make places full of visual relationships with the surroundings, with a strong character open to the coastal urban landscape. and port. The project involved the construction and characterization of the connecting pedestrian paths and the different enhancement of the walkways through the use of different materials (wood and stone) avoiding homologation of the coastal territory.
A wooden deck placed on a «floating structure» made it possible to create an operational area overlooking the beach.
