About the project (provided by the applicant)
The librarians created a design project for Library 26 in the new residential development. Its Level 1 is designed as an event platform — a barrier free environment for people with special needs. Soothing colors, high ceilings, and contrasting frames of large windows make the premises aerial and light. The staircase leading to the 2nd floor with glossy marble steps and glass barrier looks really elegant. Level 2 is where reading rooms and the book depository are located. Here, grey hues prevail, which helps to slow down and concentrate. The contact hall is a loft-style meeting place. Its walls feature concrete simulation, and the furniture set includes a narrow table with bar stools — all of these invite to have an informal chatter with close friends.
