Set within 1.5 hectares of coastal landscape at Nyanyi Beach, Bali, Luna Beach Club explores how expressive hospitality architecture can emerge from environmental and structural logic. The Restaurant and Cave Pool form two contrasting experiences: an open, lightweight bamboo structure above and an immersive, earth-like environment below. The Restaurant pioneers a hybrid bamboo and basalt structural system, enabling complex double-curved geometry while woven shading and a translucent membrane roof regulate daylight, airflow, and tropical exposure. In contrast, the Cave Pool uses composite SIP panels to create cavernous forms without conventional concrete construction. Bamboo, recycled timber, lime render, basalt reinforcement, green roofs, and preserved vegetation further reduce environmental impact. Together, the spaces demonstrate how material innovation, biophilic design, and climatic performance can shape architecture that is both experiential and environmentally responsive.
