The increase in urbanization and the expansion of cities has caused environmental pollution to enter ecosystems and ecological processes. Paying attention to ecological landscape is one of the current issues in the fields of landscape architecture planning and design, which shows the necessity of solution thinking in this field. Therefore, knowing the characteristics of natural elements such as wetlands and the functions and services affecting them is very important in the process of landscape planning and design.
In this design, the western margin of Maharlo lagoon in Shiraz city is considered as a study sample. Having high potentials and due to its outstanding ecological feature, Maharlo lagoon is considered to be one of the unique natural areas of Iran, which requires special attention, to attract tourists and the landscape of livestock farming.
