Project
District with a residential block
Nomination
Best Architectural Project by a Student
About the project
The project provides for a district development at the premises of the LenExpo exhibition center at the St. Basil Island. The advantages of the site are proximity to the water, no development in the west, abundant greenery, low-rise buildings in the neighborhood, and a metro station designed. The disadvantages include the wind load and proximity of transport corridors.
The site is conveniently divided into public and private zones, featuring both general purpose squares and floors, as well as closed house remises. The architectural looks of the buildings represent a vessel, inspired by the near gulf and a harbor station.
