About the project (provided by the applicant)
In this project we struggled with several issues in designing this school.

  1. The figure/ground diagram refers to the relationship of how the building sits on the ground. The relationship between built and unbuilt spaces.

  2. The mass/void issue, which refers to the relationship between closed and open spaces.

  3. Conflict: While trying to be the same with the surrounding environment, the project is also in conflict with it, and this creates a dialectic. In other words, it can be said that the place of mass and void space in the village and school has changed. Therefore, the form of the school is in conflict with the form of the village, but they are in dialogue with each other.
