In 2026, the main building of the Mariinskaya Hospital received architectural and artistic lighting for the first time within the framework of the landscaping programme of Gazprom PJSC and the Government of St. Petersburg with the participation of the “Nevsky Svet” Association.
The lighting solution comprises 541 luminaires on 897 brackets; 1.3 km of cable has been laid. In developing the lighting, account was taken of the complex relief of the façade, the large number of architectural details and drainpipes, therefore non-standard solutions were used for precise work with light — more than twenty modifications of LED luminaires with different power ratings, beam angles and housing colours were selected.
The lighting design emphasises the plasticity of the building, the rhythm of the decorative elements and forms an expressive evening image of a Classicism-era monument. Control of the lighting is carried out remotely from the unified control room of “Lensvet.”
