About the project
The mission of the project is about restoring the old facades of the building, as well as reconstruction of its inner structures – from the foundation to the roof. The interior design and functionality was based on the experience of Nordic countries, which are well-known across the globe for their public venues and libraries.
The original layout was preserved, but the foundation was reinforced along with some of the old brick masonry. Rusty utilities and the floor slab between Level 1 and Level 2 were removed, which resulted in an open volume full of natural light.
The new building will be open to all groups of citizens, including the disabled ones.
