This project is part of a student research paper focused on the development and preservation of carved ornaments in the historical wooden architecture of the Yaroslavl region, spanning the 12th to 19th centuries. The research identifies symbolic groups of woodcarving designs and traces their primary evolution, which was on based on blending. Carved ornaments are classified according to their functions.
Given the growing interest in rural heritage, the research aims to explore strategies for preserving the authenticity of villages. This is exemplified by a restoration project for the village of Mikhailovskoye in the Yaroslavl Region.
