About the project
The former Mitrofanyevskoye Graveyard extends along Mitrofanyevskoye Highway. After the graveyard was closed, its premises were built up with warehouses, garages and small plants.
A modern park is designed at the site with three major zones: a memorial park, a leisure part, and a museum park.
In the memorial park, churches will be renovated, the temple will be restored, and a memorial will be installed.
In the center of the park, there will be a leisure zone with walking trails, venues for public events, sports sites, children’s playgrounds, and many more.
At the premises of the museum park public buildings will be located: creative workshops, a restaurant and a museum, telling about the history of the district and industrial development of St. Petersburg, as well as the history of the graveyard.
