Modern art museum in Yekaterinburg

About the project
The design site stands between architectural facilities from three centuries. The new museum is designed with four levels plus a basement floor. It is shaped as a 3-d square trapeze, making it look like a mountain that grew right at the embankment. This is the reference to the Ural Mountains.
For the facades, stone slabs of different colors are used. The austere lines don’t contradict the surrounding development, and the large digital screen highlights the entrance to the museum and also works as its promotion poster.
