“Monaco” apartment complex

Originally the building was used as an office centre, but its function has now changed: it is now the “Monaco” apartment complex. The project for the reconstruction of the building’s façades was carried out by us in the Art Deco style.

In the architecture of Sochi, Art Deco is a rare phenomenon. The historically important building of the “Caucasian Riviera” sanatorium was built in the spirit of Art Nouveau and was later reconstructed with the introduction of the then-fashionable Art Deco.

The use of the style in the reconstruction project is connected with the name of the residential complex. Monaco and Sochi are related by climate and resort orientation. The architecture of Monaco is closely linked with the Art Deco style. In the reconstruction project of the building that we undertook, the verticals of the building were reinforced with elegant reliefs; openwork metal railings add solemnity to the façades and solve the issue of visual isolation of the external air-conditioning units. Architectural lighting of the building has been executed, emphasizing the relief solutions of the façade.
