Project “Mountain Cabin,” project by Sergey Nechaev
Best Architectural Project Created with Hand-Drawn Graphics
About the project (provided by the applicant) Kislovodsk National Park is a true treasure of natural and historical landmarks. This location was intentionally chosen for the “Mountain Cabin.” The site features a mountain river with healing springs, slopes suitable for skiing, and stunning scenic views, all promoting solitude and appreciation of nature. The cabin’s architecture harmoniously integrates with the rock formations, continuing the rhythm of the natural forms. Multi-level observation platforms, descents, and ascents allow 360-degree views of the landscape.
Numerous windows connect the interior with the surrounding nature, and the interior is designed in a Brutalist style. Passageways, open platforms, functional rooms, and varied lighting enhance comfort.
The work is executed in mixed media. The diversity of forms and the graphic collage technique convey the architectural texture of the object. The layered wash creates a sense of depth and volume, producing a living “noise” that cannot be replicated digitally.
