Project
Paint Box (“Kraski”) shopping and entertainment centre
Nomination
Best Project of Public Building or Facility
About the project
The design concept of the building was inspired by the image of a paint box.
The white and wood facades of the building echo its surroundings designed in the same colors: a sports complex under construction nearby; an Orthodox church; a large landscaped park with wooden benches, decks, canopies and amphitheaters.
The “compartments” of the “box” are slightly displaced relative to each other, so we can see that “inside” there are bright cheerful paints leaking along the overhangs.
A simple and obvious analogy with a paint box is embodied in a stylish, light and modern design.
