About the project (provided by the applicant)
The multifunctional center is located in St. Petersburg, in the Rzhevka-Porokhovye district. One of the center’s primary focuses is the popularization of space exploration, a promising field of modern science. The building comprises two structures, with the main block featuring a distinct centric composition. Functional units are arranged around it, as if radiating outward. This composition evokes the image of a supernova explosion in binary star systems, where smaller stars burst from immense density.
A small square on the northern side offers the most complete view of the building's volumetric-spatial composition. The space surrounding the complex also creates numerous viewpoints, including from major streets, the water's surface, the embankment, and within the neighboring areas, each providing a different perspective of the architectural form.
