Project:
Multifunctional convention and exhibition center in Kirov
Category:
Best Project of Public Space by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant):
This convention and exhibition center in Kirov will become popular with both locals and tourists. The author wanted to make sure that the visitors’ stay in the center would be comfortable and enjoyable, and she didn’t want it to look like a typical exposition center.
The world-famous Dymkovo pottery toy that comes from Kyrov became Ekaterina’s inspiration, which can be seen in the shape of the roof and the facades, as well as the master layout.
During the high season when many exhibitions and conferences take place the center will be used to the utmost, but during the rest of the year it won’t stay idle. That is because all its rooms are multifunctional and intended for use throughout the year.
