Project
Multifunctional culture center

Nomination
Best Architectural Project by a Student

About the project
The project is based in Kaliningrad, the city that has almost lost its abundant heritage during the war. The author intended to pay tribute to the city’s past and enhance the identity of the old town, Kenigsberg. For that, it was planned to use historical structures buried in soil; establish shelters repeating roof silhouettes of the old town; make glass windows with ornaments repeating historical facades. The result should look like a inhabited ghost town.

Location
Kant Isle, Kaliningrad, Russia
