Muscat Vertical Innovation Valley

Muscat Vertical Innovation Valley reimagines the traditional Omani wadi as a vertical ecosystem for knowledge, research, and innovation. Rising from a public plaza toward the skyline, the project is organized around a continuous blue environmental spine that connects diverse programs including research laboratories, collaborative workspaces, education, exhibition, administration, hospitality, and public facilities. Inspired by the spatial and climatic logic of Oman’s wadis, the tower integrates landscaped ecosystem gardens throughout its height. The blue shaft also functions as the building’s primary environmental system: filtered and cooled air enters at lower levels, moves vertically through the building, and is exhausted at the top through a chimney effect. The proposal transforms a regional landscape archetype into a contemporary vertical infrastructure where architecture, climate, nature, and innovation form a unified system.
