The architecture of the Muza ("Muse") residential complex by Arch(e)type is inspired by the creative heritage of the Aeroport and Verkhnyaya Maslovka districts. Once home to the workshops of painters and sculptors, the buildings' architectural image serves as a tribute to art. The volumes are perceived as a fluid sketch, created by a light movement of the hand.
The project’s composition is built on sweeping lines. They wrap around the facades, forming a dynamic silhouette with a high-rise accent. Balconies and terraces of varying depths set a rhythm and create a contour reminiscent of a vortex-like upward motion.
The building is logically divided into levels. The massive base is clad in textured fiber-reinforced concrete, serving as a natural extension of the street through large storefront windows. The upper tiers, made of metal panels, visually lighten the volume, while expansive glazing adds a sense of airiness to the facades.
The project is designed for 309 apartments. Its cascading form helped seamlessly integrate the complex into the surrounding urban fabric while carefully preserving the spirit of this legendary neighborhood.
