The project involves the creation of a museum complex integrated with an architectural landmark — the Church of John the Baptist. The museum functions are housed in standalone volumes, allowing them to be separated from the active church while preserving the integrity of the historical ensemble.
The new architecture serves as a neutral backdrop for the monument. Transparent pavilions, lightweight structures, and flowing roofs evoke the imagery of waves, creating a sense of movement while blending organically into the landscape and the scale of the historical environment. The composition is built around three key focal points: the church, an open-air concert venue, and the museum pavilion. Interconnected walking routes and public spaces with exhibition pavilions, a restaurant, and a rental shop are arranged between them. At the site of the lost winter church, a lighting installation is proposed to outline its historical footprint and preserve the memory of the original ensemble.
