About the project
Catharsis (from Greek κάθαρσις – rise, purification), which the authors assign the role of the concept motto, implies release of emotions, solution of inner conflicts, and ethic upgrade.
The main route is designed via the museum of history, where the visitors are offered to reconsider the mistakes made by the civilization. The culmination of the museum is called the Catharsis, and from there the visitors will move to the museum of arts, to learn through creativity. The rain courtyard here is a symbol of cleansing and unification.
For Stage 2 of their work, the authors needed an architect with a Korean license, and that’s why the project was designed by means of an international collaboration.
