Project:
Ghosts of the Past — museum center and beautification at Higher Strelka
Category:
Best Project of Public Space by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant):
This project was designed as a draft for a qualification paper. The museum center telling about the history of Yaroslavl and its surrounding grounds is located in the very heart of the city. Inspired with conceptual architecture. the museum complex comprises 3 volumes connected with above-the-ground galleries. The main facade features the devisualization technique and seems to vanish into the thin air. A remarkable exhibit in the museum is the bass relief from the desolate Church of St. John Chrysostom. The project also includes the beautification concept for the adjoining premises.
