Project
Project for the Multifunctional Artistic Pottery Exhibition Center at Skopin
Nomination
Best Museum Architectural Design
About the project
At the ground floor, there will be a pottery plant, and an arts school for children; at the first floor, there will be exhibition venues; and at the second floor, there will be administrative premises and the café.
The architectural solutions were inspired by smoothness and charming gloss of glazed ceramic products. On the outside, the building resembles a mold used to make a pot, and on the inside – a pot glazed green.
The pallet features the colors typical for Skopin pottery: brown and green.
In front of the complex, there is a large square that can be used not only as a public recreation zone, but as a market venue, too.
Moreover, the site will have a children’s playground, a scene for events, a bicycle parking, and a car parking.
Location
