About the project (provided by the applicant)
The multifunctional community center was designed for a settlement of 2,000 residents on Yekaterininsky Island in the Murmansk Region, situated along the ice-free Yekaterininsky Bay.
The project envisions the center as the main public location within the settlement, positioned in its eastern part. The building comprises a circular, two-level winter garden that provides access to various «petal» blocks, each dedicated to a specific function. These include the settlement administration, an educational block for children, coworking spaces and plant breeders’ facilities, a public dining hall and minimarket, as well as social and household services.
At the heart of the winter garden’s atrium, behind partitions, is a hall for public events. This space can accommodate a range of functions, from business conferences to concerts.
