About the project
Because of generations of adaptations to its desert surroundings, historic city of Yazd has a unique Persian architecture.
The earthen architecture of Yazd has escaped the modernization that destroyed many traditional earthen towns. Inspired by the Yazd traditional districts, context, alleys, courtyards, sabats, rooftops, the qanat system, traditional houses, bazars, hammams, mosques and… we designed Noyazd 800 units residential state (the biggest complex) in the 50 thousand square meters site (middle of the city).
In order to provide the social relations required for residential units, 60% of the site is given to public open space. This complex not only provides its cultural, social, commercial, educational and sports needs but also meets the needs of other residents of the neighborhood.
