The project proposes a concept for a cultural center with an opera and ballet stage for Pesochnaya Embankment in the historical center of St. Petersburg. Design is based on context analysis, compliance with urban planning regulations, and the study of global experience in creating similar facilities. The main architectural idea is a building as an image of music. Facade columns resemble harp strings, and the dynamic cable-stayed roof creates a memorable silhouette. The form becomes a symbol of theatrical art.
The layout solves practical tasks: an underground parking lot for 240 spaces and ground-level parking ensure transport accessibility, while interior spaces are arranged with acoustic requirements in mind. The use of lightweight concrete blocks and drywall partitions provides flexibility in organizing halls and rooms. The project accounts for everything — from the exterior appearance to the comfort of spectators, artists, and staff. Ultimately, the new center becomes a prominent landmark on the city's cultural map.
