Museum and Exhibition Hall in Osinniki

Nomination
Best Museum Architectural Design

About the Project
The goal of the project was to beautify the area and erect a new pavilion on the site of an old wooden building at minimal costs. The pavilion is located at the foot of a natural hill. The size of the elongated building is 37.7mby8.7m. The front facade is mostly glass, which makes the building look airy and enables it to fit into the environment.

Inside, there is a single exhibition space, which can be divided by movable partitions into small rooms. Separately allocated are the entrance area, the utility room and the WC area.

The new museum building will be mainly used for temporary exhibitions, scientific seminars, lectures, workshops, and other leisure activities.

Residents of Osinniki spend most of their free time gardening. In the summertime, the surrounding area might become a venue for a flowers and crops festival.
