Category Best Project of Public Building or Facility
About the project (provided by the applicant) Inspired by the perspectives of the ideal Renaissance city, the Padel Center will become an oasis of health, beauty, and harmony on the shore of the Baltic Sea. The goal was to create a unique space where everyone can find something for themselves: from active sports to calm relaxation after an intense match.
The project combines traditional and contemporary architecture, attracting greater attention to the complex. The building is executed in restrained neutral tones and natural textures, with extensive use of glass, making it visually lighter despite its size.
The building is divided into blocks, which helps “break up” the massive area with courts into a more permeable and airy composition. The first block features a double-height entrance hall. On the second floor, visitors can access two observation terraces. The second important area is the playing courts. Five courts are divided into three blocks. These blocks form a central atrium: an open space for rest and social interaction.
