About the project (provided by the applicant)
Komarovo is a really picturesque place at the Karelian Isthmus, which is famous with its pine forests, sandy beaches, and the Gulf of Finland. This proposal is the new parish house to be built at the Church. Thanks to masterful combination of a public and a religious place, it can be used for private devotion and for socialization, too.
Every detail has been thought of from location of the canteen and the church shop to the sliding doors system that ensures easy transformation of the premises. The building with its wooden frame and plywood finishing is harmoniously fit into the surrounding grounds, and its connection with nature highlights its sacral identity.
