Project:
Pavilion for Offshore Instrumentation Corporation

Category:
Best Implemented Project of Temporary or Permanent Museum Exposition

About the project (provided by the applicant):
This multivector 2-storey exhibition pavilion with a training center is part of the Naval Fame Museum in Kronshtadt.
The designers had to integrate the 1,000 meters big pavilion in the museum interiors so that it doesn’t obscure the main exhibit, K3 submarine. They decided to conceal the facade between a screen of waving water weeds with the use of mirror and glossy surfaces. This resulted in a structure that is nearly invisible. The steps of the museum simulate sea bed. In fact, the proposal is a perfect example of how technical complexity can be fused with architectural elegance.
