About the project
The listed heritage site “Court Stables” comprises several historical buildings. Since 1723, there used to be a livery stable at this site. In  1846, architect Nikolay Benois was ordered by the Emperor to design a new livery yard there. Demolition of old wood and cobblestone buildings started in 1847. The new stables construction lasted from 1848 to 1855. Totally, 328 horses were accommodated there. The new complex included a manege, a stud agency, living premises for the staff, a smithery, a vet clinic, a carriage parking, hay sheds, and green forage warehouses.

The Manege is a part of the listed historical site “Court Stables,” and is located at a site of 31,969 m2. Total area of the complex is 12,009.3 m2.
