Project
Photo-art museum in Moscow
Nomination
Best Architectural Project by a Student
About the project
The museum should become a new venue bringing together different generations with the same hobby – photography.
Massive elements with corten steel decorations top the light silhouette of the ground floor with its sun-catching windows, and the blank wall of the archive counterbalances the building.
The museum comprises 5 blocks with different functions: an exhibition space with two large and one minor halls; a large archive; a photolaboratory; an educational zone telling about digital and film photography and including a library, a coworking space, photostudios, and computer rooms. The shape of the building creates a cozy courtyard separated from the bustle of the city.
