About the project
The Kirov Square is one of the most important places in Saratov. Today, this site combined various functions like transit, trade, active and passive leisure, a cultural memorial and so on.
We wanted to connect scattered parts of the square into a unified system.
The bridge as a connecting structure, will facilitate people to raise above the square and see it from another perspective. As the Kirov Square lives a dynamic life, continuously changing and evolving, the basic structure of our bridge is a spiral, referring to creative power of the society, a symbol of generations union and life rhythm. The covering of the square featuring arch-like wavy shapes refers to river waves and continues the general concept. In the middle of this r iver, there are leisure isles, inviting to have a break.
