About the project (provided by the applicant)
Florianópolis, an island on Brazil's southern coast, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, featuring crystal-clear beaches, white sands, and notable sea rocks. Connected to the mainland by three bridges, including the iconic Hercílio Luz Bridge, Florianópolis is home to Ponte House. This residence, perched on a hillside by the Cacupé sea and facing the continental mountains, blends harmoniously with its environment. Inspired by local nature and the Hercílio Luz Bridge, its design incorporates structured steel eaves to manage sunlight, enhancing both efficiency and aesthetics. The house's structure, featuring two beams supported by pillars, includes bedrooms and social areas, with a suspended swimming pool extending towards the sea. Inside, natural stones reflect the local landscape. The westward orientation of Ponte House offers stunning views of the continental sea and Serra Catarinense mountains, creating a unique and ever-changing atmosphere for residents.
