“Nature Threshold” (Russia)

Project
“Nature Threshold”

Best Project of Private Residence

About the project (provided by the applicant)
“Nature Threshold” is a house built on the edge of land and water, designed as an integrated whole with the landscape. Its linear composition unfolds progressively: from a covered parking area incorporated into the house volume, through a residential block with two master bedrooms, to a glass passage — a transparent volume with glass floors, walls, and ceiling, creating a floating effect and dissolving the boundary between architecture and nature. The composition concludes with a kitchen-living area with panoramic glazing, seamlessly extending the water’s surface.

The façade combines concrete and wood, emphasizing both solidity and natural tactility. The architecture does not seek to dominate but gently integrates into its surroundings, creating a sense of calm, privacy, and openness simultaneously. The house functions as a spatial transition from architecture to nature, rather than just a living space.
