About the project (provided by the applicant)

The monastery grounds, surrounded by massive stone walls with nine defensive towers, are situated in a ravine with steep slopes. The complex includes 11 churches, three of which are cave churches. To facilitate modern use of the ensemble, a sanitary and utility building was constructed to provide public restrooms for pilgrims and tourists, as well as utility rooms for monastery needs.
