Project
Purity of Thought
Nomination
Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project
About the project
We started from scratch helping our client select a new property for purchase in Moscow and launched the project from shell-and-core stage combining two adjacent units into a single 120 sq.m 3-bedroom apartment.
With the client’s personality being our main source of inspiration we named this project “Purity of Thought”.
This inspiration transformed into pure lines, consonant with the Russian constructivist architecture and Luke Turner’s ideas on metamodernism.
We infused the space with understated romance of halftone colors, selected items of vintage furniture (e.g. Fresco dining chairs by Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-Plan) and works by the Russian contemporary artist Varya Schuka, while all the cabinetry, doors, door frames, skirting boards and partitions plus many furniture items were designed inhouse and artisan-made in Russia for this project. We also chose Kelly Wearstler’s arm-chair and rugs by The Rug Company. Lighting by Visual Comfort, Catellani&Smith and J.Hayon for &tradition.
