Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Apartment / Private House
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The 20 sq.m. studio, intended for rent, is located in a renovated 1907 building. The client envisioned an apartment inspired by the elegance and simplicity of French interiors, featuring a monochromatic, refined design. The studio features a subdued color palette, decorative moldings, herringbone laminate flooring, and brass accents. Every detail exudes luxury, including the striking black window frames and a black porcelain window sill. In the bathroom, a black stretch ceiling creates an intimate atmosphere, especially when illuminated by the chandelier, casting mesmerizing shadows across the walls and ceiling.
As the project progressed, parallels emerged between the apartment's design and the nearby Pushkinskaya metro station with its black-and-white tiles and brass decor. This inspired a similar combination in the bathroom, featuring black and white tiles, white walls and black ceiling, and brass decorative strips. To complete the concept, a bust of Alexander Pushkin was added, hence the project’s name «Pushkin Studio.»
