Project
Restoring appearance of the Red Parlor
Nomination
Best Implemented Restoration / Reconstruction Project
About the project
The ex-mansion of S. P. von Dervis with courtyard blocks (Galernaya Street 33) is a listed building of federal importance, comprising the Chamber Musical Theatre “Saint Petersburg Opera.” The Red Parlor that got its name from the color of its walls accomplishes the front enfilade of the mansion.
In the early 2000s, some restoration works were performed in the part of the parlor owned by the Musical Theatre. As soon as the rest of it was handed over to them, the restoration project was made to restore appearance of the entire Red Parlor.
