Our exposition is a statement based on visual research, analysis, and reflection on the local "barrow space" within the context of the barrow culture of the Tikhvin region and the entire southeastern Ladoga area.
The exposition is divided into three parts — three circles of perception regarding the theme and the subject of research. The first — the wall — is the space of the everyday context which exists within a simple linear structure of time. This context completely ignores any cult or historical prerequisites for the structure's existence. The second — the ring — is the space of the cultural context, reflecting various forms of interest from different communities in barrow culture. Here, the barrow itself is already perceived as an object of research and a source of cultural context. The third circle — the portal — is the inner space of the sacral context that exists outside of any spatial and temporal boundaries. In addition to visual content, it is described by sound and tactile sensations.
