About the project (provided by the applicant)
The main building of the Theological Academy, located in St. Petersburg, is a distinguished example of mature classicism. This three-storey U-shaped brick structure features a prominent risalit adorned with an eight-column portico at the center of its eastern facade, and a larger risalit at the center of its western facade.
The facade restoration project, completed and approved in 2020 and executed between 2022 and 2024, focused on preserving the original elements and restoring lost fragments of the building’s exterior. The project was based on historical photographs and included the restoration of intricate details, decorative elements, and the wooden frames of windows and doors.
