About the project
The Annunciation Cathedral, a pinnacle of defense and religious architecture in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, is located in present-day Poland in the city of Suprasl. The cathedral is part of the Suprasl Annunciation Monastery of the Polish Orthodox Church.
In 1944, the Annunciation Cathedral was completely destroyed. In 1984, with the blessing of Savva, Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland the building was restored to its original glory.
The frescos adorning the cathedral underwent restoration between 2019 and 2021, which was accomplished by IKONIQUE, a Belarusian icon-painting studio.
