About the project
The design site is located in the historical center of Rostov-on-Don, so it was important to fit into the existing background through keeping with the development line and the number of storeys.

For the building not too look too formidable, it was proposed to make it more complex in terms of geometry, moving its top corner depthward. This didn’t affect useable volume much, but made the building look better against the neighborhood.

Another task was to create an attractive public space, as it could potentially increase attendance. The project included a public square at the entrance and an accessible roof, offering magnificent views of the historical city.

Inside, the space featured a combination of a classical layout and a labyrinth, together making a peculiar pattern. Combinations of large and small, light and dark venues contribute into creating  the most diverse sensations.
