Modernization of the "Road of Life" memorial and landscape complex, Phase 1

The modernisation of the complex involves the creation of a unified design code for the memorials located along the “Road of Life” highway, the development of an architectural and planning solution for the information and tourist centre, the creation of a unified lighting system for the objects of the memorial complex, as well as the rebranding of elements of the transport and tourist infrastructure.

At the first stage of project implementation, new public-transport stop pavilions have been installed along the entire route.

The stop pavilions are of two types — interactive and anti-vandal. The interactive stop includes perforation in Corten steel with the name of the stop and brief information about the memorial, as well as a map of the “Road of Life.”

Interactive pavilions are installed at nodal points of the route, near the memorials. In the anti-vandal version of the stops there is no glass; metal and wood are used. The individual design of the pavilions has been developed on the basis of the unified concept of the memorials and the new tourist centre.
