A brutalist fortress-house in the Vyborg District of the Leningrad Region, situated on the shore of Lake Zerkalnoye. A one-hectare plot with centuries-old pines defined the architecture: the 1,355 sq.m house is integrated into the terrain with minimal tree felling, and its image evokes the verticality of ship pines and rock formations. House Skala is a brutalist home for an owner — a strong-spirited and successful individual. It is a fortress-house, a country family estate in which strength of character combines with comfort and protection. The house is located in a picturesque spot in the Leningrad Region, in the settlement of Zerkalny, Vyborg District, directly on the shore of Lake Zerkalnoye. The plot occupies approximately one hectare and is rich in coniferous forest, predominantly pines. The total area of the house is 1,355 sq.m. The enclosed area of the house's premises is 663 sq.m, while the area of open terraces and balconies on the first and second floors reaches 692 sq.m.
