Project
Roma

Nomination
Best Implemented Interior Design Project Using Works of Art

About the project
Roma is a freestanding deconstructed wall partition for a client's appartement in Besançon, recovering construction site waste. This project is born out of the desire to visually separate the space, in a way that enables it to functionally perform as a shelf.
Upcycling of rough pipe bricks with interesting shapes, reminiscent of Roman aqueducts or Arab moucharabieh.

Location
35 rue de Chaillot, Besançon, France

Project implemented in
2020

Sumbitters and authors of the project
Product designer graduated from the Boulle School, Dorian Etienne combines design, art and crafts, most often through limited editions. Indeed, he takes the time to register in a territory, to observe its history and its techniques and take inspiration from it.
Furthermore, experimentation is at the heart of his creation. The new features of the material are his library of ideas; then he invents new uses.
Fundamentally his approach is respectful of the environment, from design to production.
