About the project
This is a major international project in the history of Tretyakov Gallery designed in collaboration with the State artistic collections of Dresden. Visitors can see Romantic artwork from Russia and Germany in the same place, featuring Caspar David Friedrich, Philipp Otto Runge, Alexander Ivanov, Alexey Venetsianov etc. 300+ works including paintings, sketches, manuscripts, and unit exhibits from dozens of Russian and German collections are showcased in the unique architectural setting offered by Daniel Libeskind.
