Project
Russky Dom (Russian House) Residential Estate

Nomination
Best Built Premium or Business Class Residential Estate

About the project
Russky Dom RE stands on the territory of 2.4 hectares in the very heart of St. Petersburg, on the exvehicle park site. The building typology refers to the one of traditional tenement buildings. The compositional center is the front cour d'honneur, an open yard facing south. This approach was typical for St. Petersburg in the late 19th– early 20thcenturies – it helps to make the extended façade less monotonous and add more light to the apartments.

Facades and roofs feature Neo-Russian style, untypical for St. Petersburg. In particular, the project was inspired by Fedorovsky Community in Tsarskoye Selo and the building at the corner of Liteyny Prospect and Pestelya Street.

All the parade facades are covered with imitation stone that reminds of white-stone chambers. Animalistic and floral ornaments, as well as forged elements refer to the folk tradition, too, and are inspired by Old Russian patterns. These decoration methods make the development even more triumphant.

Location
St. Petersburg, Baskov Lane 5.
