Street Art Gallery “Cities of Russia Through a Train Window” at the Russian Railway Museum (Russia)

Project
Street Art Gallery “Cities of Russia Through a Train Window” at the Russian Railway Museum

Category
Best Implemented Project of Temporary or Permanent Museum Exposition

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The street art gallery “Cities of Russia Through a Train Window” was created as part of the street culture festival “Movement Allowed,” held at the Russian Railway Museum in 2024. The festival has taken place every summer since 2022, bringing together street wave artists who paint the museum’s technical walls in graffiti style during live performances.

The theme of the artists' work is Russian cities as seen from a train window. From the many cities connected by the railway network, each artist chose one personally meaningful to them. These works evoke curiosity in viewers, spark interest in their homeland, and inspire them to share their own travel memories.

The “Movement Allowed” street culture festival was initiated by the Russian Railway Museum in partnership with the creative agency PUBLICART.
