Project
Salta 2141. Cultural and Educational Space of Memory and Music
Category
Best Project of Public Building or Facility
About the project
This project was designed for a National Architecture Competition with the objective to create a space for memory (linked to what was the worst tragedy in the history of the city of Rosario, Province of Santa Fe, Argentina), a Civil Association and a Provincial School of Music on the premises where this tragedy took place. The proposal raises these spaces as an indivisible unit where the complexity and requirements of each of the parts are developed in a relationship with the rest, favoring modes of use, routes, spatial relationships, etc. of the public space that flows into the block and ends up becoming the square that serves as the entrance to the new music school as well as the space for memory, a place for meeting, reflection and introspection that culminates in the Civil Association Skip 2141 Memory and Justice that controls the entire space on that level.
